Position Purpose
Plan, design and implement data centre infrastructure and related customer system that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability.
Manage and support assigned system components.
Major Responsibilities
- Plan, design and implement data and storage infrastructure components to ensure a reliable and error-free delivery of business applications and services
- Create and manage strategies and RFPs for the company’s data centre computing infrastructure and related system
- Conduct presentations to management and or stakeholders when required
- Be part of project teams and provide status and highlight issues/concerns early
- Implement new approved technologies
- Minimize operational risks by supporting the server continuity framework, & adhering to the internal controls and security standards for server usage
- Perform the setup and provide 2nd level support for Windows server, related system software and middleware products or applications
- Perform application deployment based on received instructions
Competencies (Skills/Qualifications/Experience)
- Post-Secondary Education in any related course combination of training and experience preferred
- 2 - 4 years hands on experience in network and information technology required and responsible for technical planning, implementation, management, and operations of Microsoft Windows Server based environments
- 2+ years of working experience in financial service industry
- Experience with Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / Group Policy (GPO)
- Strong knowledge and working experience of VMware ESX, Citrix Metaframe and Blackberry Enterprise Server
- Strong knowledge and experience with Storage Area Network(EMC), Symantec Storage Foundation and Cluster technologies, as well as Symantec NetBackup systems
- Strong knowledge and experience on Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server and SharePoint
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM a plus
- Good skills on documenting system design, setup and procedures
- Good communication and presentation skills and a team player
- Solaris experience is a plus
