Hello house mate, I can see that there is joy in the house, all new faces everywhere but its good.
Let me start by saying congratulations to those who passed the test, to those who made it in the interview and those who are yet to or have done medicals welcome to the diamond family

To those who have been called to training school, welcome on board.
Diamond bank I must say is the place to build your career, we are hot cakes to other banks, is it staff welfare or career path or what.
We are still on training 9 exams down, 6 more to go, even we in training are treated as equals with those who have been there before us
We are the highest paying bank in nigeria, with range of benefits to us staffs
I tell you my friends, its the place to be.
To those who didn't make it, don't worry, there are better days ahead. By February more tests will be conducted and I will inform the house, so you can try your luck again
To those awaiting TS, were ever your location is, lagos, zamfara, ibadan, anywhere in Nigeria, you will be called, just be patient, engage yourself with something keep yourself busy. I can't say for sure when the next TS will be, DIAMOND BANK is a bundle of mystery, they do things that others don't even dream of, so just be open minded and ready, for I tell you, this part you are still on now, is the easy part of the whole task. The major task lies ahead. We have a new vision, mission and goal to achieve in a short while, and we need all the hands we can get to see that happen, and I tell you, we will reclaim our diamond. Just have it @ the back of your mind that there is space for you all and many more.

Met a girl who said 90% of us are going into the marketing department, abeg what can I do to aviod ending in that department? Do I have to be the best in TS? My course? Pls I need ans o as I really do not want to be a marketer
I don't know why people are scared of "marketing" when they going for bank job. These days, Operations staff also partake in 'deposite drive'- they are give some amount to bring into the bank. Even as a Marketer, you grow faster than Operations staff, every branch manager is/was a Marketer, top bank executives were/are a Marketers.
Don't fret, DB is sellable and flexable. I am already in the system, I know what i'm talking about.
Lmao u're so on point & am sure its bcos u're already in d system, my former boss spent 8yrs b4 he became branch manager while the head of operations had equally spent 8yrs and am sure he would need atleat 3 more years to emerge a bm. If u want to get to the top faster, u nid 2 be in marketing. As for me, I was told @d interview that am going to be in corporate banking.

Marketing is sweet if u have d interest and drive. especially if u are corporate banking... Nevertheless diamond bank has an excellent customer satisfaction so getting its product to d market wouldn't be an ish.

eeeeh!, mótígbó!. marketin no b bad job function. but sha if i get something outside marketing, i go like am pass. i've had a quite strong foundation in operations wit insourcin limited for just over 4yrs. If only they could accept our higher qualifications, it culd hav been better. However since db is on board, i wuld appreciate if i remain in operations. Its not easy switchin at dis stage.
