Job description

• Responsible for safe team work with respect to all rig operations
• Promote the principles of continuous improvement
• Maintain good two way communication with team members at the rig and base
• Coordinate the development of newly appointed senior team members landbase
• Ensure regulatory compliance is properly maintained
• Participate in company required and recommended training
• Provide guidance and support to personnel as required
• Ensure compliance with company's HSEQ Management System
• Liaise with the client’s representatives, in the execution of contract obligations
• Focal point for client representatives
• Other duties as assigned by senior management
• Work to keep personnel turnover to a minimum
• Guide rig personnel in pre-planning upcoming jobs with materials on hand to ensure that all planned and unplanned opportunities are maximized
• Maintain competent and capable rig crews and provide leadership in fostering the “safety-is-a-value” culture
• Assist in annual budget preparations and cost control procedures and be accountable for rig operating budget results
• Ensure that standards of supervision and personnel performance are monitored and communicated to rig crews through verbal communication and performance appraisals
• Ensure equipment repair and returns are monitored and expedited and certification requirements met
• Perform audits and rig inspections as necessary to maintain the highest operational standards
• Ensure that interfaces to operator HSEQ programs are defined and understood by rig crews.
• Support the provision of consulting and specialist services related to all aspects the operation of assigned rigs

Requirements:

• Drilling Operations Manager will have minimum degree in Petroleum Engineering or any equivalent qualification
• 15+ years of experience in Supervising Shallow & Deep Water projects
