A real estate, tourism and hospitality company is committed to enhancing the quality of life in Africa through 21st century innovations. We are looking to recruit a Business Analyst/Project Assistant to the Group President to be based in Lagos.


Job Summary:
This person will manage the budget and drive strategic initiatives focused on growth and expansion, and continuous operational improvement. The purpose of the role is to support the development and sustenance of an efficiently and effectively run business which maximizes growth opportunities, thus delivering maximum benefit to stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the budgeting and planning cycle, develops the development of the annual budget and manages budget implementation day-to-day
  • Responsible for capital raising activities
  • Develops and manages initiatives to drive operational excellence
  • Supports the formulation and execution of business strategy and growth plan
  • Conducts detailed business analysis on various project/business options
  • Maintains closing deal positions with clients and seeks new channels of profitability
  • Prepares proposals/bid documents/business plans/feasibility studies including financial models to support business initiatives
  • Identifies changes and developments which could potentially afford new business opportunities or affect business plans and develops strategies to exploit these opportunities, maximize profits and minimize risk.




Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A good first degree preferably in a numerate discipline is essential plus professional qualifications
  • At least 3 years work experience preferably including a consulting background
  • Strong knowledge of finance and capital raising process
  • Excellent business analysis, financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian economic environment plus an appreciation of the potential of the real estate as well as tourism and hospitality sectors
  • Sound commercial acumen and appreciation of the business life cycle
  • Excellent communication skills including writing skills i.e. ability to write reports and prepare/deliver presentations
  • Strong IT skills MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Strong creativity and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Self starter, results oriented with delivery focus and good managerial skills
